No matter which area of this expansive region you make your hub, these itineraries offer plenty of ideas to help you plan your trip.
1 Option 1: Windsor to Berwick
If you love a day on the hill, Ski Martock offers eight trails ranging in skill level and terrain, a dedicated beginner area, and more. After your ski, warm up with a bite to eat in the lodge, or stop at nearby restaurants like Bent Ridge Winery, located across the street, or Hole in the Wall Restaurant and Schoolhouse Brewery in Windsor.
If Nova Scotia wine pleases your palate you’ve come to the right place. Experience outdoor wine tastings set on the riverbank alongside a warm fire at Benjamin Bridge or enjoy dine and stay packages, featuring expert led wine tastings at Grand Pré Winery. At the Stay at Planter’s Ridge Winery in Port Williams, enjoy a getaway paired with wine tours, tastings, and more.

The High Tides Culinary Experience invites guests to enjoy culinary bites prepared by a private chef while relaxing in a cottage that overlook ice flows on world’s highest tides.
Down the road in Noel, rest your body, reset your mind, and recharge your spirit at Raven’s Rest Retreat. Go horseback riding along a tidal river, spend time with farm animals, and end your day around a campfire.
A winter trip to Truro isn’t complete without skating at Truro’s picturesque Civic Square. Warm up before or after your skate at a nearby coffee shop or restaurant. Bistro 22, Olive & Vine, and the Nook and Cranny Brewpub are all within a short walk.

If a more rural escape interests you, plan a trip to Economy, Parrsboro, and Advocate. This area, known as the Cliffs of Fundy UNESCO Global Geopark, offers a rare opportunity to experience how the world’s highest tides have shaped the landscape.
On your way, be sure to make a stop a local hot spot Masstown Market for a bite to eat. This thriving family business features homestyle chowders, soups, baked goods, sandwiches, a plethora of local products, and more.
Tour company Local Guy Adventures features two unique outdoor winter experiences to immerse yourself in the geopark. Their Waterfall Hike offers a tour to a magnificent 25-foot waterfall and two slot canyons, while the Bike the Fundy Coast tour provides land and sea views, as you bike the ocean floor.
