1 Day 1: Explore the Noel Shore

Visit Windsor

Begin your journey in Windsor, where the Annapolis Valley meets the Bay of Fundy. Wander through the town’s historic downtown, soak in the small-town atmosphere, and grab a locally roasted coffee from Gerrish & Grey Café before hitting the road.

Burntcoat Head Park

Your first stop along the Glooscap Trail is Burntcoat Head Park. Home to the world’s highest recorded tides on the Bay of Fundy, panoramic coastal views and striking red sandstone formations make this one of the most iconic natural attractions on the trail. Time your visit with low tide for the opportunity to walk the ocean floor.

Overnight in Truro

Continue along the Glooscap Trail to Truro, stopping at scenic lookoffs along the Bay of Fundy. Once in the city, choose between exploring the waterfalls and woodland trails of Victoria Park or learning about Indigenous history and culture at the Millbrook Cultural & Heritage Centre.

This evening, enjoy dinner at The Nook & Cranny for local pub fare and craft beer, or Bistro on Prince for a more refined dining experience. Overnight in Truro at a comfortable hotel, inn, or bed and breakfast.

2 Day 2: Small-Town Charm

Explore Five Islands

Before leaving Truro, stop at Masstown Market to pick up fresh sandwiches, baked goods, and local treats for a picnic lunch. Then continue to Five Islands Lighthouse Park, where dramatic Bay of Fundy tides and sweeping views of the Minas Basin create one of the most scenic stops along the Glooscap Trail. Spend time exploring the shoreline and enjoying your picnic before heading to Parrsboro.

Visit Parrsboro

Nestled along the shores of the Bay of Fundy, Parrsboro is a charming coastal town, perfect to spend a night after exploring the shore. Spend your afternoon browsing local galleries and shops or visit the Fundy Geological Museum to learn about the region’s prehistoric past.

After a day of exploring, enjoy dinner at Two Islands Brewing, known for its craft beer and casual fare, or savour fresh local seafood at the Harbour View Restaurant. If you’re looking to cap off the day with some entertainment, catch a performance at Ships Company Theatre, one of Nova Scotia’s premier destinations for live theatre.
