Hall’s Harbour is a picturesque fishing community on the coast of the Bay of Fundy, in Nova Scotia’s Annapolis Valley. Known for iconic imagery of fishing boats lying on the ocean floor as the world’s highest tides come and go twice daily, filling the harbour with anywhere between 3.5 m (11ft) to 16 m (53ft) of seawater.
Settled in 1826, legend suggests the community was named after Samuel Hall, an American Privateer who left behind hidden treasure before fleeing militia in the late 18th century. Today, Hall’s Harbour offers a relaxing coastal escape to visitors and locals alike, and only a 30-minute drive from many of the area’s wineries.
Savour the freshest catch or shop souvenirs at Hall’s Harbour Lobster Pound and Restaurant, an authentic, working lobster pound. Browse works from more than 35 local artists at Parkers General Store. See colourful fishing boats along the wharf and search for interesting rocks along the public beach.
