Overview

Established in 1905 Parker’s General Store began as a humble outpost for local fishermen, farmers, and the occasional wayward traveller. But the locals whispered of something more—rumours that the store was once a favourite haunt of pirates who roamed the Bay of Fundy waters, seeking refuge from the treacherous tides that mirrored their tumultuous lives!

Today, Parker’s General Store has evolved while preserving its timeless charm into a “One of a Kind Gift Shop,” an eclectic haven showcasing the works of over 35 local artists. Each piece tells its own story, just as rich and colourful as the history of the store itself.

Open from April to October, the store continues to be a gathering place for locals and tourists alike, where history meets tradition, and every visit feels like a new chapter in the story of Parker’s General Store.

Famous for its dramatic tides—the “World’s Highest and Lowest Tides”—Hall’s Harbour offers more than just a breathtaking view of nature’s power. It’s home to the renowned Hall’s Harbour Lobster Pound Restaurant, once nominated in 1997 as the “best place in the entire world” to eat lobster. This iconic eatery allows guests to hand-pick their lobsters fresh from the tank and enjoy them with a front-row seat to the Atlantic’s rhythmic rise and fall.
