Lake Charlotte / Tangier

Travel back in time to the 1940s to experience life on the Eastern Shore at Memory Lane Heritage Village in Lake Charlotte. Try clam digging on the sand flats of Clam Harbour with a fourth-generation clam digger, then head back to try some clams or a homemade cookhouse meal.

Paddling enthusiasts can make their way to Tangier to Coastal Adventures in Tangier for a sea kayaking tour of the 100 Wild Islands. These untouched and protected islands are just off the coast of the Eastern Shore. Beginners are welcome on the kayaking tour.

Liscomb

After your busy day exploring, make your way to Liscomb and spend a relaxing night at the riverside Liscombe Lodge Resort. Along the way, stop at Sober Island Brewing to sample their craft beer. When you arrive at the resort, dine at onsite restaurant for a true maritime meal with a view of the Liscomb River and the rugged Eastern Shore landscape. Afterwards, end your day around the campfire.

2 Day 2: Liscomb

Hike along a portion of the 9 kilometres of hiking trails, travel the property by bike or get on a stand-up paddleboard and explore the river at your own pace. After, enjoy a swim in the pool, soak in the hot tub, or simply relax and enjoy the peaceful river view at Liscombe Lodge. Boat tours aboard a pontoon boat are also available and take guests along the Liscomb River channel which takes you into the open waters of the Atlantic Ocean with Marina Supervisor and Captain, Chester.

Sherbrooke to Charlos Cove

You may become an “Explorer” for the day by dressing in period costume, a unique way to experience history for all ages. After, continue down the coast and stop at Port Bickerton Lighthouse. Take a walk on the hiking trail and enjoy scenic views of the Atlantic Ocean at the look-off.

Situated on 25 acres overlooking the ocean, spend the night at Seawind Landing Country Inn in Charlos Cove and enjoy a fresh, seasonally-inspired meal in the seaside dining room while catching the sunset over the water.
