Clam Harbour Beach Provincial Park
From May 17, 2025 to October 14, 2025
Clam Harbour Beach Provincial Park is a long, wide, natural sand beach, supervised in July and August (weekends only; subject to change). Visitors can enjoy a picnic area in a field on top of a bluff. Other park facilities include board walks, hiking trails, and vault toilets.
Clam Harbour Provincial Park is most famous for the annual Clam Harbour Sandcastle Competition which has taken place each August for over 35 years. Rain or shine, you will see hundreds of contestants and thousands of spectators.
A truly unique and family friendly feature of Clam Harbour beach is the warm, shallow tidal stream which runs through one side of the beach. Families often bring inflatables and children love floating down the stream over and over again.
The beach has a MobiMat installed which allows wheelchair accessibility on part of the beach.
Clam Harbour Beach Provincial Park is located in Clam Harbour (84 km / 51 mi from Dartmouth on Route 7) along the Eastern Shore.
