At the very end of the Ragged Island Peninsula on 70 acres of stunning rugged ocean frontage, the immediate surroundings are magnificent. It is a short walk down the road to a sandy beach and a warm water swimming spot known locally as the “deep hole”. Lockeport is the closest little town. Here you will find a town market, some restaurants, a liquor store, playground and 3 beautiful beaches: Crescent Beach, Freddy’s Beach and Col. Locke’s Beach. Other beaches in the area to explore include Louis Head Beach, Roseway Beach, and the Kejimkujik Seaside Adjunct. Shelburne has a larger grocery store and offers a nice selection of restaurants and museums. Liverpool, Lunenburg, Chester and Mahone Bay and Yarmouth are all within easy day tripping distance.
Black Point Cottage is a lovely, bright home that features an open-concept living and dining room with a large well equipped kitchen complete with fridge, stove, microwave and dishwasher. The living room is inviting with comfortable furnishings, a piano and a decorative wood stove. Sit back and relax. There is high speed internet, a TV to watch movies, a stereo for music or if you want, you can enjoy make your own music on the cottage piano.
Black Point Cottage is perfect for a holiday with extended family or a gathering of friends. The cottage sleeps 8 people in 4 bedrooms. There are two bedrooms upstairs: the master bedroom has a king size bed, while the other room has two twin beds. Downstairs is another set of two bedrooms: one with a queen size bed and the other with 2 twin beds. A spiral staircase connects the main floor to the bedrooms upstairs (there is an exterior stairs from the deck to the master bedroom for those who may be uncomfortable using a spiral stairs). There are two full 4 piece bathrooms in the house along with laundry facilities.
Outside is a large south facing wooden deck with propane BBQ that overlooks the garden and ocean beyond. The grounds are completely private with a winding path that leads from the garden to the shore. Your only neighbours are the seals that live out in the bay – don’t be surprised if they bark at you – they are not used to visitors.
All bed linens and towels are provided. Black Point Cottage has high speed internet TV for watching movies. The cottage is pet friendly.

Cancellation Policy 50% refund for cancellations made at least 60 days before check-in. 25% refund for cancellation made between 30 and 60 days prior to check-in. No refunds for cancellations made within 30 days of check-in.
