Whether you are a couple, a family, a foursome, or a group of “besties”, this road tour takes you along Nova Scotia’s South Shore’s picturesque “Lighthouse Route” which includes teeing off at four of the region’s top ranked courses.  Take time in between rounds to discover historic towns, breathtaking views, artisan shops, and mouthwatering cuisine… all at your own pace.

1 Day1: Western Shore

Head for Western Shore to check into the Oak Island Resort & Conference Center. A stay here will be filled with fresh regional cuisine, live music, crackling bonfires, and ocean panoramas sure to take your breath away!  Take a dip in the ocean or the indoor/outdoor swimming pools, hot tub or sauna.

This afternoon, take boat tour with Salty Dogs Sea Tour and learn about the legends of Oak Island. If you’ve never heard the legends of Oak Island or seen the TV show “The Curse of Oak Island”, legend is rumored to have buried treasure located somewhere on the island. Dine in the evening at the Oak & Oar Eatery at Oak Island Resort and Conference Centre featuring mouth-watering local cuisine.

2 Day 2: White Point

After breakfast, check out and make you way to White Point for a mid-morning tee off at the White Point Golf Club. This 9-hole, par 35, oceanside golf course is a perfect way to warm up your golf game with spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean. It features small greens, narrow fairways and strong sea breezes that will keep you on your toes. Keep your eyes open as you will be sharing the golf course with the local wildlife which includes foxes, deer, eagles, heron and many bunnies!

After your round, check into White Point Beach Resort. Take time this afternoon to discover all this oceanside resort has to offer. Stroll the beach. Swim in the ocean or the indoor pool. Get a relaxing massage. Take a surf lesson. Canoe around the lake.

Dinner this evening at Elliot’s Dining Room featuring the essence of Nova Scotian cuisine with magnificent sunset views as your backdrop.

3 Day 3: Lunenburg

After breakfast, head to Lunenburg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, for a later morning tee-time at the Bluenose Golf Club. The Bluenose Golf Club is a par 70, 18-hole, hilly and challenging course offering incredible views of the Lunenburg Harbour and colourful waterfront of Lunenburg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

After your game, head into Luneburg to check into the Lunenburg Arms Hotel and Spa. Explore this charming historic town at your leisure. Sail around the harbour on the Bluenose II. Explore the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic. Take a guided tour with Lunenburg Walking Tours or Trot in Time Carriage Tours.

In the evening, dine at the Old Fish Factory Restaurant & Icehouse Bar, featuring fresh Nova Scotia seafood and an ocean view that will take your breath away.

4 Day 4: Bridgewater

Enjoy a leisurely morning in Lunenburg after breakfast at the Savvy Sailor Cafe.

Drive to Osprey Ridge Golf Club near Bridgewater for an afternoon round of 18 holes. Osprey Ridge is located in the heart of Lunenburg County and home to an 18-hole championship course that provides a worthy challenge and unique golfing experience for players of all skill levels. It features tree lined fairways, varying elevations and is speckled with 54 sand traps and 10 holes with water.

After your round, head to Chester and check into the Mecklenburg Inn. Stroll down the street for a casual dinner at the Fo’c’sle Village Pub, the oldest pub in Nova Scotia.

5 Day 5: Chester

Dive into a locally inspired and hearty breakfast at the Kiwi Cafe before heading out to the Chester Golf Club for a mid-morning tee off. The Chester Golf Club is a classic 18-hole golf course, par 70, located in a seaside setting offering challenging holes to players of all skill levels with awe-inspiring views of the Atlantic Ocean, Tancook Islands and dozens of sailboats tacking in the wind.

Grab a snack onsite before you head back home, hopefully with a scorecard showing your hole-in-one accomplishment on Nova Scotia’s South Shore!
