Our 10 cozy and unique accommodations are all located within vintage, Canadian-built train cabooses and train boxcars that are authentic on the outside and that have been completely redesigned into private deluxe suites on the inside, all while offering reflections of their railway past throughout.
During your visit, our 565-foot, 400-ton train remains a dominating sight to see. In the original 19th-century train station (circa 1887), you’ll find our Café with a full menu that includes locally roasted coffee, along with our popular gift shop that offers vast and eclectic merchandise and treasures.
Our Tatamagouche Railway Dining Car restaurant is a don’t-miss while in Tatamagouche. Open for lunch and dinner, the dining car menu features a wealth of local produce and ingredients throughout the entire menu. Reservations are recommended. Guests can also enjoy local craft beers and meads from our Baggage Room Bar or dine at our Platform Kitchen. Be sure to visit during our live music nights on our railway platform.
Located within the quaint village of Tatamagouche on Nova Scotia’s Northumberland Shore, experience our property and stroll along the old rail bed (now the Trans Canada Trail, a popular multi-modal trail) that meanders alongside our not-so-forgotten railyard. Local area attractions include Tatamagouche Brewing, Appleton Chocolates, Jost Vineyards, and Malagash Cidery, local shops and eateries, the popular seasonal weekend Tatamagouche Farmers’ Market that is held at Creamery Square which is home to shops, an art gallery, and museum. You are also minutes away from some of the warmest sandy ocean beaches in Atlantic Canada!
