The first thing you’ll notice when you turn into the driveway is the spectacular view. Across the bay, the Cape Forchu lighthouse stands tall on a craggy outcrop.
Settle into a settee overlooking the wide beach to watch the waves and wildlife. On the south side of the cottage is another deck, wind-sheltered and perfect for soaking up the sun while listening to the gentle lull of the surf.
If you prefer to dig your toes in the sand, it’s just a two-minute walk to the beach in front of the cottage. At the east end you can cross the road to access another sandy oasis – John’s Cove Beach.
The famous Cape Forchu Lighthouse is is just one mile away. Visitors are permitted to climb to the top with a reservation. The movie ‘The Lighthouse,’ starring Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattinson, was filmed at this lighthouse in 2018.
There are hundreds of places to explore in the area, in addition to activities, adventures and events. Tour the islands aboard boats with guides, arrange for fishing excursions, visit antique shops, enjoy live theatre, museums, galleries, cafes, breweries, kayaking & SUP tours, hiking trails, golf, bird watching and much more.
Located just 15 minutes from Yarmouth, on Hwy. 304, the Cape Cottage sleeps two and features an open concept design with a back patio in addition to the front and side decks.
