Holy Mackerel
From May 15, 2025 to November 12, 2025
Moving into deGarthe’s studio in 2022 was a dream come true and an honour to continue William deGarthe’s tradition of painting from spectacular Peggy’s Cove.
I’ve been making a living by selling my paintings and prints for almost 30 years from a fish shack and wharf in French Village called Albert‘s Wharf and a small booth in Peggy’s Cove near the lighthouse. The move to deGarthe’s original studio has allowed me to combine my two previous galleries into one and also to showcase my mother’s gorgeous artwork. My mom, j’anna jacqulyn has been painting for over 50 years, has a fine arts degree, hand paints lamps and furniture and still teaches art. We have different styles which provides our customers with a large variety of detailed and loose watercolour and acrylic paintings which are mostly of our beautiful area.
One or both of us are at the gallery most of the time as we enjoy meeting our customers and discussing our work.
