Welcome to Lindsay Lake Farms & Lodge, located amidst wild blueberry fields on our 2,000 acre working farm on Lindsay Lake in Middle Musquodoboit. Your hosts, the Teerling family, emigrated from Germany to Nova Scotia in 2020 to fulfill their lifelong dream and have called Lindsay Lake Farms home ever since.

Today, we offer visitors the perfect place to relax and unwind, explore the Canadian wilderness or get a glimpse of our farm life during your visit or overnight stay in our rental cottage, learn about our products which you can purchase in our farm shop as well as to meet our farm animals including our bison herd on a guided tour.

Farm Shop
Newly opened in May 2025, we’re so excited to welcome you to our little farm shop that is full of homemade goodness and country charm! The Lindsay Lake Farms team is working hard to bring the best quality meats, baked goods, and fresh produce from our family’s farm to your family’s table.

Farm Shop hours:

• Monday to Friday: 10am to 4pm
• Weekends: 12pm to 4pm

Weekend visits to Lindsay Lake Farms allows you to experience our property by:

• Wandering the farm
• Enjoying a picnic
• Relaxing with fresh coffee and homemade cake
• Trying our German-style snacks (only available on Saturdays and Sundays!)
• Sampling tasty treats from our farm-made product line
• Meet our bison herd on a guided tour

Guided Bison Tours
Come meet our gentle giants and learn all about them! Guided bison tours are offered most Saturdays starting at 2pm.

• Bison Sunset Tour: 7pm

Farm Stay Accommodations

Moose River Cottage
Our lovingly restored three bedroom, 1.5 bathroom Moose River Cottage is an extensively renovated farmhouse that has been furnished with great attention to detail. Every piece of furniture can tell its own story – some of it has been in the family for generations and made the journey “across the pond” from Germany with us. The paintings on the walls are also fond memories of a special artist in the family and they give the rooms a special colourful touch. Moose River Cottage is truly an exceptional place with a unique feel-good atmosphere.

A fully equipped kitchen with a great view of the blueberry fields will inspire you to cook delicious dishes with local ingredients, while the dining room is the perfect place to celebrate meals together with family and/or friends. The living room invites you to linger and relax. On the second floor you’ll find three tastefully decorated bedrooms (1 king bed, 1 queen bed, 2 single beds) and a full bathroom. A look out the window opens up the view of the beautiful Musquodoboit Valley. We provide bed lines and towels for your stay.

Nestled within our farm, you will find Lindsay Lake which is completely private and guests of our cottage have exclusive access to the lake. Enjoy the beauty of untouched nature, swim in the crystal clear waters of the lake or relax on the shore. Lindsay Lake is the perfect place to get away from it all and relax surrounded by nature.

Personal contact with our guests is very important to us, so it goes without saying that we will greet you on site upon arrival.

Clydesdale Cottage
A place where every detail tells a story. Named after the beloved Clydesdale horses that roam our pastures, the cottage carries their spirit of calm strength and timeless grace. Inside, you’ll find furnishings that have been in our family for generations, pieces lovingly cared for and now part of the story we share with our guests. The décor reflects the charm of the horses, elegant, grounded, and full of character with detail to curated treasures chosen with heart.

The cottage features two bedrooms, one with a King bed and another with a comfortable sofa bed, offering space for 2 to 4 guests to unwind and feel at home. A cozy fireplace invites you to settle in after a day on the farm or by the lake, while every window frames a view of nature’s quiet beauty. It’s a space that feels both familiar and special, like coming home to something you didn’t know you were missing.

Here, time slows down, comfort feels genuine, and life’s simple pleasures take center stage. The cottage also features:
