The Annapolis Royal Historic Gardens is 17 acres of gardens located in the first permanent European settlement in North America. Historically-themed areas tell the story of the settlement from an agricultural and horticultural perspective. At the Fort Anne National Historic Site, visitors can explore the remains of various 18th- and 19th-Century buildings, including an early 18th-century gunpowder magazine and 1797 British field officers’ quarters. Peruse the Farmers’ and Traders’ Market, featuring local produce and crafts as well as live entertainment. Enjoy a riverside stroll and a remarkable view along the waterfront boardwalk.
