Camper’s Haven Campground is a 45-acre open and wooded campground situated on Trefry Lake, 5 km (3 mi) east of Yarmouth, in the Yarmouth and Acadian Shores region. We offer a wide variety of activities for the entire family. Our guests can enjoy swimming and fishing in Trefry Lake, a 30-acre spring-fed lake stocked with trout every year. There are 5 golf courses within a 1-hour drive, beautiful parks, historic walks, fishing villages, museums, great shopping, restaurants, and much more. Nearby attractions include the W. Laurence Sweeney Fisheries Museum, historic Seaport Sea Captains’ House Tour, Yarmouth County Museum, Firefighters’ Museum of Nova Scotia, the Cape Forchu Light station, and dark skies.
Our campground offers 165 overnight sites (15/30/50-amp electrical, water, and sewage hookups), including big-rig pull-thrus, unserviced tent sites, camping cabins, and rental trailers, plus 50 seasonal sites. Guest amenities include flush toilets, free showers, washrooms, laundry facility, dump station, camping & fishing supplies, and free wireless Internet access. Special features include a solar-heated pool, hot tub, children’s playgrounds, air hockey table, ping-pong table, video gaming system, shuffleboard court, dart boards, 9-hole chip & putt, mini-golf, volleyball, soccer, basketball, lake swimming with waterslide, fishing, and hiking trails, as well as planned activities in July and August. Pets are permitted on a leash.
