The Shanty Café is a casual dining restaurant and catering business located at 6B Central Street in the heart of beautiful downtown Yarmouth, Nova Scotia.

The Shanty Café is a Social Enterprise. Our parent company is the Yarmouth Association for Community Residential Options (YACRO).

Our mandate is to provide meaningful employment to individuals who face barriers to employment as a result of disability, mental illness, age, language, literacy, etc. Our mission is to do this in a professional restaurant environment which brings a variety of ethnic and organic menu items to our community.

We focus on serving great meals that are flavorful and affordable. Featuring a variety of dishes inspired by local and international cuisine, this is the perfect location for a relaxing breakfast, a delicious lunch or just a friendly gathering.
