Overview

For generations, families have been gathering along the LaHave River in downtown Bridgewater. Open year-round, meander to the waters edge to take in a concert, attend a festival, enjoy a stroll or a picnic you picked up from a local hot spot. With the floating docks, be sure to bring along your canoe, kayak, or SUP, to paddle the river. Sail and power boats frequent the park too – arriving by water, popping into the shops along King Street or LaHave Street.

Honouring our regions deep connection to our Mi’kmaq ancestors, the Park name, Pijinuiskaq (pronounced BE-JN-OO-IS-GAH)
