First opened in Lunenburg in 1921, by John E. Knickle, official Bluenose photographer, today Knickle’s Studio & Gallery is an official supplier of Schooner Bluenose images. It was our photo was used on the commerative dime to mark the 100th year of the Bluenose’s launch.

In our gallery browse the many historic images of Nova Scotia, some dating back to the late 1800’s, as well as many scenic shots of Nova Scotia and beyond.

We source local artisans to include their work in our gift shop including authors, jewellery makers, painters, whimsical drift wood art, wood workers, soap makers, preserves and more. Baked goods from By The Tides Bakery are also available for sale.
