This quaint “village on stilts” located along the Sissiboo River is a place like no other. Visiting Bear River is like going back in time. There are no traffic lights, no fast food restaurants, and no big box stores. The village is home to many artists who draw inspiration from the picturesque location. Head out for winter glamping at Sissiboo River Retreat. Nestled among the trees along the Sissiboo River, these well appointed, cozy geodesic domes are the ideal wintertime getaway. The large deck overlooking the tidal river is ideal for watching the water rise and fall.
