Sable Island Tour

Feel the thrill of exploring one of the most remote places on earth, Sable Island National Park Reserve! Expansive dunes, wild horses and the world’s largest grey seal colony await on this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Get your camera ready for an exclusive one-day adventure to Sable Island, located 300 km offshore of Nova Scotia in the Atlantic Ocean. Arriving by helicopter, we’ll be welcomed by Parks Canada staff for a brief orientation of the island.

Led by your Picture Perfect Tours guide, you’ll hike between the sand dunes and discover wild horses, the world’s largest colony of grey seals, unique bird species, and archaeological treasures from centuries of habitation, that are revealed by the shifting dunes. Before and during your trip, you’ll get photo tips and instructions to help you capture the wild horses and landscape of Sable Island. You’ll also receive a gallery of professional downloadable images of your journey to remember and share this once-in-a-lifetime experience!

2025 Price: $3,390 CAD + HST per person

Good to Know:

• This two-day travel window is due to the unpredictable island weather and landing conditions. Guests must also be available for both days of our travel window.
• This trip has a maximum group size of 7 guests to ensure personalized attention.
• Please expect to walk/hike approximately 8 km in soft sand. Depending on where we locate wildlife, we may travel anywhere from 6 km to 10km.
• Dress in layers and comfortable, active clothing for the time of year and weather. Wear comfortable walking shoes or hiking boots for walking in sand.
• Bring your favourite packable lunch/snacks and a water bottle. There is potable water on the island to refill. A hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen are also necessary.
• Don’t forget your camera!
