• Traditional Public House located in a Halifax Heritage Home
• Classic maritime food, flavours, and local craft beer
• Live music offered Thursday and Sunday
Round up your buds and make your way down to the Narrows Public House, where you’ll find authentic Maritime food and hospitality in a traditional pub setting. Built in 1896, this heritage property is rich in history and lore, originally operating as a mercantile businesses and family residence – it even survived the Halifax explosion! Today’s owners lived in the space for many years before opening, thoughtfully restoring the character and rustic charm to create the inviting, cozy atmosphere visitors are drawn to.
On the menu, you’ll find elevated versions of old home classics, like boiled dinner or hodge podge, bologna sandwiches, flat top cheeseburgers, fish and chips, diner classics, and pub bites. On Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, stop by the pub for live music, and occasional other days as well by chance. Through the week, find a nook, grab a pint, and settle in for a game of crib with friends. At this lively pub, the staff, the food, and even the walls have a story to tell.
Please note, while we do not take reservations, we look forward to welcoming you to The Narrows Public House.
Sunday - Thursday, 11 a.m. to midnight. Friday & Saturday, 11 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
