Striper of the Strait Adventures:

Whether you’re a first timer or an experienced angler, there is no bad day of Striped Bass fishing on the Northumberland Strait. Paying attention to tides, moon phases and time of day, however, can influence the size and quantity of stripers you’ll catch. Sunrise and sunset are preferred times to get the bigger stripers who feed at night. Fun can still be had during the day with large schools of smaller stripers (schoolies). Whatever time of the day you prefer, your certified Nova Scotia fishing guide, Sean Townsend, will share with you his favourite fishing spots, provide instruction if needed, supply high quality fishing gear, and maybe even tell a few fishing stories.

Below are Striper of the Strait’s standard adventures. If you’ve got something else in mind, Sean will do his best to accommodate.

About Your Fishing Guide:

Sean Townsend’s love for fishing started as a youngster in Newfoundland jigging for cod and angling for trout in lakes and rivers. At the age of 10 his family moved to Nova Scotia, and not long after, bought a cottage near the mouth of Pictou Harbour. Since then, Sean has spent his free time exploring Northern Nova Scotia’s lakes, rivers and ocean waters, fishing small mouth bass, trout, mackerel, and of course the mighty Atlantic salmon.  When the striped bass sport fishery re-opened in 2017, he soon got hooked angling for these feisty fish on the beautiful beaches and inlets of the Northumberland Strait.

As a certified Nova Scotia fishing guide, Sean has combined his instructing experience as a first responder with his love for fishing and for the Northumberland Strait.  Join Sean on a Stripers of the Strait Adventure. Whether you’re a first timer or an experience angler, there’s no such thing as a bad day of fishing.
