St. Paul’s Anglican Church is open for visitation between 9am and 4:30pm, Monday through Friday however visitors are encouraged to call 902-429-2241 or email office@stpaulshalifax.org to avoid disappointment.
Founded in 1749, this was the first Anglican cathedral built outside of England and is the oldest building in Halifax.
The “Ghost Window” and piece of wood embedded in an interior wall are relics of the 1917 Halifax Explosion.
2024-25 celebrates our 275th Anniversary!
Guided tours are facilitated by volunteer interpretive guides between mid-June and the end of October when they are available. Self-guided tours can take place Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri between 10am and 3pm. Please ensure that you are showing no signs of sickness before you enter, as we continue to practice healthy socializing post-COVID. Masks are not mandatory, but welcomed. Hand sanitizer is available. All are welcome to our weekly services as well.
