Church Point Lighthouse (Le Phare de la Pointe)

This Acadian Cultural and Interpretive Centre, located on the campus of Université Sainte-Anne in Church Point, is a vibrant hub of activity where residents, students and visitors meet. Situated under a bright red roof, the Centre houses an artist-run gallery “Le Trécarré”, a visitor information centre, souvenir boutique, a 263-seat performance theatre, an outdoor performance area, and an internet café. Admission is charged for events.
The Acadian Interpretive Centre & Museum showcases interpretive panels and multimedia exhibits introducing visitors to the culture of Acadians in Clare through their history, language, music and more. Bus tours welcome. Guided tours of the museum are free.
The centre is a trailhead for a 5-km network of walking trails that lead to the coast; an orientation map, interpretive panels and an observation tower have been added. The trails are free to walk or guided walks are available for a fee.
