Opened in the summer of 2023, the Halifax Common pool is located on the Halifax Mainland Common between Cogswell Street and Bell Road. Operating from June 15 – September 15, the pool offers a 25m five-lane pool, three climbing walls, beach entry with play features and large universal change rooms. The pool will offer a variety of activities such as lane swimming, swimming lessons and open swims.
Access to lane swimming and open swims will be free of charge on a first come basis. Color bracelets will be handed out for each swim, bracelets for the different times can picked up, in July & August, starting at 10 a.m. Swimmers will be asked to leave the pool at the end of each swim to allow the next group to access the pool.
Universal changerooms with individual and family cubicles are available along with accessible cubicles. Lockers are available; bring your own lock.
