The Prow Gallery
Open year-round
The Friends of McNabs Island Society is a volunteer-run, non-profit, registered charity based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, dedicated to the preservation of McNabs and Lawlor Islands. We provide opportunities for visitors and residents to get to know McNabs Island through a variety of guided tours and special events. The Society maintains trails, provides visitor information, hosts beach cleanups, and manages the Teahouse Outdoor Education Centre which is open seasonally.
Get to know the Friends of McNabs Island Society and join us on a guided tour! McNabs Island Guided Heritage and Nature Tours are held Sundays throughout July and August. Tours begin with a 30-minute boat ride aboard A&M Sea Charters’ Captain’s Pride travelling from Eastern Passage. In October on the first Sunday after Thanksgiving, the Society hosts McNabs Island Fall Foliage Tours. Throughout the year, the Friends offers private guided heritage and nature tours to schools, businesses and organizations. Contact us for details!
