East River Lodge Campground is located on the river in Sheet Harbour, along the Eastern Shore region of Nova Scotia, offering fun-filled activities for the whole family. The Eastern Shore’s inlets, rocky outcrops, islands, salt marshes, and nearly endless beaches create a prime condition for sea kayaking and other coastal activities.
We are less than an hour’s drive to many of Nova Scotia’s beautiful beaches, including Martinique Beach, Nova Scotia’s longest sand beach and Clam Harbour Beach near Lake Charlotte that is one of the province’s most beautiful and popular beaches. You are also within a 10-minute drive to Taylor Head Provincial Park and Beach, where you can take a day trip to enjoy a picnic, walk the boardwalk out to the beach areas, or challenge yourself to a hike on one of the several hiking trails.
Our accommodations include 22 overnight sites, either unserviced or with electrical (15/20/30-amp), water and sewage hook-up, plus 18 seasonal sites. Guest amenities include flush toilets, showers, free Internet access, laundromat facilities, ice, a disposal station, fire grills, and wood. Camp activities include a boat launch, river swimming, a play area, a recreation lodge, fishing and hunting. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash.
