Doug paints in oil on canvas and has been painting and creating for over four decades, has been a full-time professional artist for just over 25 years!
Born and raised into a family steeped in the Cape Breton Celtic traditions in Inverness, Doug Fraser is deeply connected to the land and spirit of this place. His pursuit is light, and his unique style enables him to create that ethereal perspective he has become so well known for in his landscape and seascapes. His work is found in corporate and private collections worldwide. His gallery/studio is found on his family land where he lives with his wife just five minutes from the Village of Inverness, overlooking the Northumberland Strait.
When not creating in the studio he is often found working in his onsite sculpture garden. Join Doug for an artist-led tour of his gallery and sculpture garden for a conversation through art! This is an all-ages welcome experience!
