Overview

The Delaps Cove Wilderness Trail system consists of two separate nature trails – Bohaker Trail, a 2.2 km loop (approximately one hour walk), and Charlies Trail, a 1.9 km loop. This trail system is located on the shores of the Bay of Fundy in Annapolis County, Nova Scotia, just 24 kms from historic Annapolis Royal.

Both trails are linked by the Shore Road Trail (2.7 km one way to Charlies Trail). The return walk to and from Charlies Trail will take approximately 3-4 hours.

The Trail meanders through 130 acres of canopied forests. Nature enthusiasts will enjoy the natural splendour of the area and breathe in the briny, salt air that surrounds the windswept coastline of the Bay of Fundy. As well as being a great place to hike, the trail provides opportunities for bird watching and photography.

Be mindful of the weather and sea conditions. There are high cliffs in spots and the rocks can be slippery, small children should be kept close.

One of Annapolis County’s most popular trail systems and visited by locals and visitors from a far. The trails have it all, beautiful forest trails that emerge along the Bay of Fundy for a walk along the coastline, a waterfall, and so much more. The area is rich with history and nature. A must see on anyone’s list.
