Overview

Located in Alderney Ferry Terminal Park on the shores of Punamu’kwati’jk located in Mi’kmaw territory, the Daffodil Garden is the first cancer survivors garden in Eastern Canada and serves as a gathering space and source of inspiration that will continuously give the same message – THERE IS HOPE!

Supporters of the Daffodil Garden have planted over 40,000 daffodil bulbs. Daffodils naturalize (multiply) so many more poke their heads up each spring. After the spring-blooming daffodils are finished in the daffodil garden, the annuals, perennials, shrubs and trees continue to showcase colours, shapes and textures through all seasons.

This garden is meant to give optimism and courage that people survive this disease and will continue to do so.

The park is wheelchair accessible.
