Nestled amongst pines with an ocean view, Castaway is a quintessential log cabin in a maritime setting. Honey brown logs and a large central field stone fireplace create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Take the cabin’s 2 single kayaks and explore the bay then settle down for an evening of relaxation soaking in the hot tub, roasting marshmallows around the campfire and watching the sunset over the ocean.
Castaway Ocean Lodge is located on the tranquil waters of West Green Harbour on Nova Scotia’s South Shore. Just 10 minutes from the seaside town of Lockeport with its stunning white sandy beaches, historic streetscape and charming small town festivals. The historic town Shelburne is approximately 25 minutes away. Set on a truly spectacular harbour, Shelburne offers restaurants, museums and theatre. Lunenburg, Mahone Bay, Chester, Pubnico and Yarmouth are all within easy day tripping distance.
Balancing convenience with rustic charm, Castaway Ocean Lodge main floor features an open concept fully equipped kitchen, comfortably furnished living room and dining area. Two sliding patio doors on either side of the fireplace open onto a raised sun deck with magnificent water views. The cabin sleeps 4 in two bedrooms. At opposite ends of the cabin, both bedrooms have queen size beds, plenty of closet space and patio doors that open onto the sun deck. A 4 piece bathroom with combination tub/shower completes the main floor plan. There is a laundry room on the lower level.
The deck runs the width of the cottage and provides a vantage point to take in the magnificent sun sets and ocean views. There is a propane BBQ and deck furniture. It’s a short walk down to the shoreline where you will find a small rocky beach and private ocean access. The harbour is calm and suitable for sea kayaking.
All bed linens and towels are provided. Castaway Ocean Lodge has satellite TV and internet access. The cabin is pet friendly. The cottage comes with 2 single kayaks, a hot tub and a fire pit.
Minimum stay 5 to 7 days in July and August; 3 days in May, June, September and October

Payment Options Deposit required at time of booking. Email transfer is the preferred method of payment. Visa, MasterCard, or personal cheque in Canadian Dollars also accepted.
Cancellation Policy 50% refund for cancellations made at least 60 days before check-in. 25% refund for cancellation made between 30 and 60 days prior to check-in. No refunds for cancellations made within 30 days of check-in.
