Plan your stay at Bay Breeze Motel and Cottages in Boutilier’s Point located in Boutilier’s Point, next to the Head of St. Margaret’s Bay near Halifax where the refreshing salty air off the bay is invigorating and offers a welcome refuge from the heat during the summer months. Fall asleep listening to the waves lapping the shoreline and wake up to catch the sunrise on the bay.

Stroll among the variety of native trees, fruit trees, flower bushes and grapevines that produce Concord black grapes each fall as you explore our property with its 1,000+ feet of seashore. Visitors can go swimming, canoeing, boating, scuba diving or beachcomb to collect seashells. For families with young children, there is a playground with sand, toys, a swing bridge and slide on the property. An assortment of outdoor games are also available along with access to the saltwater pool.

There are benches, picnic tables, fire pits located along the shoreline along with a wharf to tie a boat to or to fish from.

Across the road from Bay Breeze discover the St. Margaret’s Bay Trail – a 32km long trail perfect for walking, running and cycling.

Nearby, there are two shopping areas with groceries stores, banks, restaurants, gas stations, a library, indoor skating arena, fitness center, and more.

Our accommodations

Choose between our oceanfront cottages, poolside motel units and our oceanfront motel suites.

Oceanfront Cottages: There are three one-bedroom cottages and seven two-bedroom cottages, all open concept and each with a deck with BBQ, table, bench and fire pit situated 40 feet from the shore. These full equipped, housekeeping cottages have a full bath with shower and tub, TV, free WiFi and kitchen containing all the essentials of home for preparing and serving your favourite meals.

The beds range from queen, double, and single. Some cottages can accommodate up to 6 persons per cottage and some up to 4 persons per cottage.

The honeymoon cottage suite also has a double-size Jacuzzi, fireplace, and air conditioning.

Cottage bookings are for a minimum of three nights (two nights possible, if available).

Poolside Motel: There are eight motel rooms located across the driveway from the saltwater pool and playground. Each unit has two double beds, private bathroom, heat, ceiling fan, free WiFi, fridge, and TV. All rooms have access to a shared BBQ and picnic table between the pool and the playground.

Oceanfront Motel: Located next to the cottages, the Oceanfront Motel has seven units, three of which are suites. Each unit has air conditioning, private bathroom, free Wifi, TV, radio, microwave, bar fridge, coffeemaker and its own private waterfront patio. The three suites also include fully equipped kitchens and a dining area. Units have either one queen bed or two double beds.
