Discover The Argyler Lodge’s six inn rooms and two seaside cottages situated next to beautiful Lobster Bay in the Yarmouth & Acadian Shores region of Nova Scotia. Each of the six guest rooms are situated off a private hallway on the second floor, designed specifically for your peace and quiet.
- Captain’s Quarters: Our most coveted ocean view room includes a queen-sized bed, day bed with a trundle/pull-out, a fourpiece bathroom, and a bar-sized refrigerator.
- The Leeward: This ocean view room has a queen-size bed and four-piece bathroom.
- The Windward: Overlooking the Argyle River, this room features a queen-size bed and a four-piece bathroom.
- The Midship: Featuring a mahogany four-post queen-sized bed and three-piece washroom, the room also has a day bed with a trundle/pull-out that makes for expanded sleeping quarters.
- The Starboard: Rise with the sun in this garden view room that features a queen-size bed, a sunny dormer alcove ready and a three-piece bathroom with a stand-alone shower.
- The Port: Overlooking the gardens and the sunrise view, this room comes complete with a king-sized bed, cozy office space by the window, a four-piece bathroom.
Shanty on the Bay: Newly opened in summer 2024, this wheelchair accessible seaside cottage is located next to the inn and is built of locally milled wood. This air-conditioned cottage comes complete with a king-sized bed, three-piece bathroom, large flat-screen TV, small fridge, coffeemaker, loveseat, and table. The deck overlooks Lobster Bay, making it the perfect place to relax and sip on your morning coffee while the adjoining fire pit is the perfect place to watch the sun set over the ocean.
Owl’s Head: This charming wooden cottage offers a rustic retreat with breathtaking oceanfront views that invite you to unwind and reconnect with nature’s tranquility. Enjoy peaceful mornings sipping coffee on the private deck as you relax with the sounds of the gentle waves lapping the shoreline and refreshing ocean breeze.
Onsite, enjoy onsite activities such as picnics; birdwatching; kayaking, and lawn games. Nearby you will find various nature trails, a golf course, the town of Yarmouth, and Le Village historique acadien de la Nouvelle-Écosse, a historic Acadian Village museum nearby.

Watch the sun set and experience a gourmet getaway by the sea from our dining room or out on the main deck overlooking Lobster Bay. We specialize in a chef-created, seasonal, locally inspired menu that changes regularly depending on what is fresh from our garden, local farms and the sea. We grow most of our own herbs and produce onsite in our gardens and partner with local farmers and fisheries to provide you with the freshest and finest menu items possible.
