Home smoked meats, fresh in season seafoods, Mateus Bistro brings simple tasty food to the table.
The menus change by the seasons and what is available locally. Chef Matthew Krizan and his partner Kira Curtis have grown this bistro to focus on an appreciation of food and where it comes from.
Three Big Green Egg BBQs are built into the patio and you can watch Chef Matt smoking meats and vegetables. All summer, every Friday is a grill menu where everything is charcoal grilled to order.
They boast a drink menu with more than 20 Nova Scotian wines and more than a dozen local beers and spirits.
Open year-round.June to October: seven days a week: Mon-Fri 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., Weekend brunch 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. November to May: Mon, Thu, Fri, 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., Weekends 11:00 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
