In 1977, as young Nova Scotia College of Art and Design graduates, we started Birdsall-Worthington Pottery Ltd. in the beautiful seaside town of Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia.

We make a full line of functional and decorative earthenware pottery using a local Nova Scotian clay.  We are known for creating custom made commemorative plates for births, weddings, anniversaries and other important life events.  We make each plate entirely by hand on the wheel in our Mahone Bay studio.

We also make a line of delicate clay jewelry again made entirely by hand in our studio.

As studio potters, we have come to see this creative process as a metaphor for life.  We believe that a creative life is a spiritual practice.
