About the performers

  • Cameron Chisholm is considered, not only by the public, but also among his peers, as one of Cape Breton’s finest fiddlers ever. Born and raised in Margaree, he was born into a musical family and carries their distinct ‘Chisholm-style’ of fiddle playing and repertoire. A popular performer at both concerts and square dances, Cameron has come out of retirement to once again thrill audiences with his vibrant and masterful performances.
  • Another talented musician from Margaree, Lawrence Cameron grew up surrounded by the rich Cape Breton culture and has been performing throughout Cape Breton since he was a child. Holding a music education degree from Acadia University, Lawrence’s musical talents can be seen each fall during the annual Celtic Music International Festival.
  • Neil McDaniel is a multi-talented singer-songwriter and instrumentalist born into a musical family in Margaree Forks. He’s performed throughout the Maritime provinces, the Ottawa Valley, Ireland and Japan. He switches frequently among genres and instruments: guitar, mandolin, bazouki, tin whistles, and Celtic piano.
