Sinister Soirée at Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site

By the flicker of candlelight, Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site will host a costume party for the history books! 

Looking for a unique Halloween-inspired evening? Join us on Saturday, October 24, 2026 for the 6th annual Sinister Soirée for an evening of of eerie entertainment, mystical encounters, and hauntingly good fun at the Fortress of Louisbourg.

Dance the night away to live music and DJ sets, embark on a haunted walk through the reconstructed town where you’ll be entertained by buskers in the streets as you listen to creepy stories shared by firelight. Take a peek into your future with a tarot card reading, or get in touch with someone from your past with a medium. Do all this and more as you explore the historic streets within the walls of the fortress.

Costumes are encouraged, and a variety of drinks and food items will be available for purchase throughout the site. This is a 19+ event – Government photo IDs will be required.

Gates open at 5:00 pm with events and activities drawing to an end by 11:00 pm.
