Nestled on the Bay of Fundy coast, explore this cozy town, get your fix of world-famous Digby scallops, relax at the spa and discover talented handcrafters.
1 Day 1: Nova Scotian Folk Art & Delicious Digby Scallops
Begin your Digby adventure with a walk through Maud Lewis Memorial Park in Marshalltown, just three minutes outside Digby. Step into Maud’s world as you wander past interpretive panels that bring her magical paintings and remarkable story to life. Admire the park’s striking steel memorial, a replica of the tiny home where Maud and her husband Everett lived from 1938 to 1970.
Once in Digby, check into your spacious waterfront suite at Dockside Suites, complete with picturesque views of the harbour. Then head downstairs to Dockside Restaurant for a seafood-packed lunch. Choose from creamy seafood chowder, baked haddock, seafood lasagna, or their signature baked lobster and scallops – 1 ¼ lb fresh lobster; split & filled with scallops, sprinkled with crispy, buttery breadcrumbs.
With full bellies, continue your folk-art adventure at Quilts by the Bay. Step inside this waterside shop to discover an array of intricate, hand-quilted pieces by local quilter Debra Howard, who has been crafting quilts for more than 35 years. Choose a one‑of‑a‑kind quilt to remember your trip, or work with Debra to place a custom order made just for you.
As the winter sun sinks toward the horizon, enjoy a brisk walk along the Digby waterfront to the Digby Pier Lighthouse. Watch working fishing boats at their docks and gaze out over the calm waters of Digby’s harbour, as they stretch toward the Bay of Fundy.
Head to the popular oceanfront restaurant Digby Wheelhouse Seafood & Pasta for a homemade dinner by the water. Known for its fresh, local seafood and hearty pasta dishes, the Wheelhouse is a go-to for visitors and locals craving authentic Maritime flavours. Enjoy a traditional haddock and creamed lobster dinner, try Acadian Rappie Pie, or savour famous Digby scallops with the scallop trio dinner.
2 Day 2: Seafood, spa, and cozy accommodations at Digby Pines
Begin your day with a hearty breakfast at Fundy Restaurant as the sun rises over the harbour. Choose from classic Eggs Benedict, a stack of fluffy homemade pancakes, or keep it truly Digby with a scallop omelette.
Next, head just seven minutes outside town to second-night’s accommodations at Digby Pines Golf Resort & Spa, where rejuvenating spa experiences and local dining await. Choose from one of the resort’s curated packages for a ready‑made escape or design your own getaway in a charming resort room or cozy cottage.
During your stay, relax and unwind at the resort’s full-service spa, wander wooded hiking trails with sweeping views of the Annapolis Basin, or curl up with a book by the crackling fireplace in the Grande Lounge.
Refuel with a locally sourced dining experience at Churchill’s Restaurant and Lounge. Savour fresh Digby scallops, Indigenous-inspired dishes, the three-course prime rib special on Fridays, and international-themed dinners on Saturday nights. Pair your meal with a glass of Nova Scotia wine, craft beer, cider, or local spirits.
