Tour Highlights:
- Enjoy round-trip transportation to McNabs Island with A&M Sea Charters on the Captain’s Pride. Depart from Eastern Passage and travel to Garrison Pier on the Halifax Harbour side of McNabs Island. See iconic views of the Harbour, waterfront, and marine life, like harbour seals and shorebirds during the 30-minute ride.
- Visit Island attractions and points of interest like the Teahouse Outdoor Education Centre, Maughers Beach, Fort McNab National Historic Site, and McNabs Pond which has changed from a cove to a tidal inlet, then to a freshwater pond, and now back to a tidal inlet again!
- Hear historical and environmental insights about the island from your guides as time, weather systems, and other impacts change the shape and features on McNabs Island. Beaches and coves come and go; sea level rise and more intense storms will bring more changes to the island over time.
- Take in coastal views of the Halifax Waterfront and city skyline, turn to the south and gaze toward the vast Atlantic Ocean to see if you can spot disappearing “Little Thrumcap”.
- At the end of the day, dip your toes in the cool waters of Halifax Harbour.
