Welcome to the Wildertools forge in Lunenburg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Are you curious about the craft and what its like to hit hammer to hot steel? Want to try something new and share a few laughs? If so, this experience is for you! Get a glimpse into the methods, tools and art of a modern blacksmith, before crafting your very own forged keepsake. Rick’s award-winning blades have been featured in 20th Century Fox’s War for the Planet of the Apes and Disney’s Jungle Cruise.  

Package Includes:.

• Guided introduction to beginner blacksmithing with professional smith, Rick Marchand, whose clients include local chefs, international collectors and the Hollywood film industry.
• Hands-on forging demonstration of the various techniques involved in the forging process.
• Create your own custom piece: swing a hammer at hot steel and use the skills of the trade to craft your own forged piece.
• Flavours of Lunenburg gift basket, including a sampling bag of locally roasted coffee from Laughing Whale Coffee Roasters, as well as various local treats and treasures.

Price: all prices below include a private experience for your party, one gift basket and a small, custom foraged keepsake such as a fork, coat hook or spoon per active participant.

• spectators are free

Wildertools forge is fully accessible, so mobility challenges should not prevent you from experiencing the art of blacksmithing.

Advance booking required. Participants must be 8 years of age or older. Spectators are welcome, at no additional charge. The total number of Participants and Spectators must not exceed 8 people, per booking. Young spectators must be accompanied by an adult.
