Terroir & Wild Ecotours The Google rating is 4.9

Halifax Metro, Halifax

Overview

We run our tours all year long, foraging for different edible plants, seaweed and mushrooms. Every season has something to offer, and even in the midst of our Nova Scotian winter we still take people to the woods and ocean shores to forage for medicinal plants.

Every tour is an opportunity for learning, finding exciting wild foods and meeting new friends. We teach you to recognize edible plants, we talk about the land, nature and the human connection to the environment.  We also teach how to store and dry products for winter use and how to use them in your own cooking. At the end of each tour, our talented chefs prepare gourmet lunch for us with foraged and fine foods that we also import from all around Canada. This experience will leave you with unforgettable memories.

Jolanta Grossman
Jolanta was born in Poland. Since her early age, she ventured into the woods with her family to forage for mushrooms, berries, and other wild foods. She remembers collecting herbs with her grandma and turning them into potions and medicinal remedies. Those were very special times and they instilled in her the love for everything natural, herbs and medicine making.

At the age of nineteen, she went to live in London, England. She worked in investment banking and eventually began studying Yoga and Wellbeing. These soon became two of her biggest passions.

In 2016 she moved to Nova Scotia. This big move opened a doorway into the next stage of growth. It propelled her into a deeper relationship with herself and nature. Jolanta has been a passionate advocate of healthy, natural and organic living.

Jolanta is a Herbalist and a Yoga and Yoga Therapy Teacher. She owns Golden Path Yoga & Holistic Therapies, LilaRosa and Rosa Valley. She makes custom made natural cosmetics, herbal tinctures, teas and healing remedies.
