Overview

Stewiacke River Park is a day-use park owned and operated by the Municipality of Colchester. Enjoy a picnic, go for a walk, relax in a hammock, watch for wildlife, or simply enjoy the view of the river.

Explore this natural, forested park with mature pine, hemlock and spruce trees.

Enjoy a picnic beside the river with family or friends. There is a large timberframe picnic shelter and several smaller covered picnic tables.

Walk or snowshoe along the 2 km trail by the river and through the forest. Several benches are located along the trail. Watch for birds and other wildlife. Dogs must be kept on leash; please clean up after your pet.

Young visitors can enjoy the swings and explore the playground.

Access the river for swimming (unsupervised), canoeing, kayaking and fishing.

Walkers are welcome to use the park year-round. Washrooms are cleaned daily and open year-round.

Located approximately 10 km from Stewiacke, 14 km south of Brookfield, and 28 km south of Truro.
