The South Harbour Hideaway Summer Home is a cozy waterfront cottage, nestled among the trees in the community of South Harbour on Cape Breton Island, just 1.5 km off the legendary Cabot Trail. Relax on the veranda of our heritage home and take in the spectacular view of the waterfront.
Pick up some fresh Aspy Bay oysters, cooked lobster and snow crab at our Hideaway Campground head office (1 km away) and enjoy a delicious Maritime feast right in your own backyard. We are also located within 2 km of sandy beaches, canoe, kayak and bike tours and rentals, and hiking trails.
Our central location at the top of Cape Breton Island makes us a great homebase for sightseeing, going on a whale watching tour, hiking the trails in the Cape Breton Highlands National Park, and golfing at the Highland Links Golf Course in Ingonish or at Le Portage Golf Club located in the Acadian village of Cheticamp.
Our waterfront heritage home accommodation includes 4 bedrooms, 4 piece bathroom, full kitchen, dining room, sitting room and living room with TV and wireless internet service. Outside you can enjoy the veranda, BBQ, firepit, and have access to a boat launch.
