The menu is inspired by the bold flavours of Vietnamese, Korean, and Thai dishes, along with occasional regional Indian specials that reflect Chef Sai’s home in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
Chef Sai studied culinary arts in India before moving to Canada where he continued his culinary training, following his passion for exploring Asian cuisines from around the world. He brings together techniques and flavours from across Asia to create comforting street food favourites, nourishing bowls, and healthy dishes made from scratch with fresh ingredients and house-made marinades like lemongrass, gochujang, and bulgogi. Nearly everything is made in-house – from crisp spring rolls to Chef Sai’s signature coconut red Thai curry and pho broths that simmer throughout the day, building rich, aromatic depth.
The menu at Simply Asian includes bánh mì sandwiches, noodle soups, rice and noodle bowls, wraps, and pho poutines, with proteins such as pork belly, slow-cooked pulled pork, beef, chicken, tofu, and shrimp.
