Shining Waters Marina and Boatyard is your waterfront gateway to explore beautiful St. Margaret’s Bay and its many islands and beaches. Only 20 minutes from Peggy’s Cove and 40 minutes from Halifax Waterfront, its a short drive or even lovelier coastal cruise by water!
The full-service marina and boatyard offers vessel maintenance services with an onsite chandlery and quick grab grocery. The marina is also a certified Canadian Customs arrival site for visiting boaters, as well as a Freedom Boat Club location.
Launch your boat or kayak onsite or rent a stand-up paddleboard or boat towable to have fun on the water. Whether you’re visiting for the day or want to have fun on the water all week, Shining Waters Marina offers both hourly and weekly equipment rentals.
After a day on the water, enjoy craft beer and pub-style snacks from Cavicchi’s Meats at the onsite Saltbox Brewing Taproom (Summer 2024). Relax on the large waterfront patio and stay for local live music. To make your visit even easier, book one of the packages below:
SUP and Sip for 2: Spend the afternoon exploring shallow coves, swimming, and relaxing on sandy beaches, before returning to Shining Waters Marina for a flight of craft beer and pub-style snacks.
Overnight Slip and Sip: Sail or motor to Shining Waters Marina for a fun day on the water or to take in some live music. Dock overnight and enjoy local craft beer and Cavicchi’s ‘On The Water’ snacks at the onsite Saltbox Brewing Taproom.
Cottage Life SUP Rental: Have fun with a weeklong stand-up paddleboard rental. Enjoy onsite or take to your favourite location for a fraction of the hourly rental cost. Delivery and pick-up service available for a fee, depending on location.
