Overview

Recipients of the Parks Canada Sustainable Tourism Award for Nova Scotia, Seafoam Lavender is a destination not to be missed! Located on the northern Coastal Highway (Route 6), Seafoam Lavender is an easily-accessible stop for those traveling to/from Cape Breton or Prince Edward Islands. Hours of operation are noon to 5:00, seven days a week, from Mother’s Day weekend to the end of October — and year-round by appointment through the Seafoam Lavender website.

Between the earthy aromas of the surrounding forest, the light hint of salt spray, and the heavenly aroma of lavender, a visit to Seafoam Lavender Gardens causes sensory overload – but in a very good way! Although the best time to see the lavender in bloom is usually the month of July (weather-contingent), Seafoam Lavender also features beautiful Pollinator Gardens, where you might see an assortment of aromatic flowers; as well as native butterflies, moths, hummingbirds, and bees.

Bring a picnic lunch and sit under our covered pavilion, or wander through the lavender gardens.  You can even play in the ocean, as we are located just minutes from world-class, public-access beaches.

We are a small, family-owned/operated agricultural business, dedicated to producing superior-quality, direct-from-the-farm lavender products. Each product is individually made in small batches to ensure freshness. We invite you to visit us noon to 5 p.m. daily, Mother’s Day weekend through late October, and don’t forget your camera!

**P.S. Sorry, due to health department and insurance restrictions, dogs are not permitted in public areas of our farm. We do have shady areas where you can sit with or walk your canine companion, however.
