Overview
Moose Harbour View Cottage is a sunny, little cottage with colourful harbour views. Centrally located, it is close to a wide variety of activities and amenities. You could spend the day at one of the local beaches, or take a road trip and explore the sights and sounds of the South Shore.
Moose Harbour View Cottage is located in the small fishing community of Western Head. Set on a large property it enjoys a commanding view of Moose Harbour. From the cottage it is a short walk down to the harbour where you can inspect the boats and chat to some of the local fishermen. Beyond the wharf, a little further along the shore road you will find a rocky outcrop and a fabulous view of Coffin Island Lighthouse. Liverpool is the closest town. Here you will find restaurants, shopping, museums, Hell Bay Craft brewery, galleries and bookshops. It’s a 5 minutes’ drive to White Point Beach and 18 minutes to Hunts Point Beach. The Kejimkujik Seaside Adjunct, Shelburne and Lockeport as well as Lunenburg, Chester and Mahone Bay would all be manageable day trips.
Moose Harbour View Cottage is a cheerful 2 bedroom cottage. Completely renovated a few years ago, the cottage has a comfortably furnished living room, a fully equipped eat-in kitchen, two bedrooms, compact 3-piece bathroom and laundry facilities. Furnished with an eclectic mix of new pieces and antiques, the atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. A large picture window in the living room floods the house with sunlight and takes advantage of the harbour view. It’s a quintessential Nova Scotian image of brightly painted fishing boats moored in a harbour alive with sea birds. It’s captivating to watch. The kitchen is large and equipped with everything you will need for a weeks’ vacation or an extended stay. There is a work space in the kitchen large enough for a laptop. So researching your next adventure or catching up on emails is easy to do. A patio door leads from the kitchen out onto a large private deck with lawn furniture and an impressive view.
The cottage sleeps 4 people in two bedrooms. The Master bedroom has a queen size bed while the other bedroom has two twin beds. Both bedrooms have plenty of closet space.
All bed linens and towels are provided. Laundry facilities are located the basement. Moose Harbour View has satellite TV and internet. The cottage is pet friendly.
Safety
For the protection of our guests we are leaving a full day between guests in order for our cleaning staff to completely clean and sanitize the space. Covid-19 cleaning, health and safety protocols are followed.
Minimum stay
5 to 7 days in July and August; 3 days in May, June, September and October

Payment Options
Deposit required at time of booking. Email Transfer is the preferred method of payment. Visa, MasterCard, or personal cheque in Canadian Dollars also accepted.
Cancellation Policy
50% refund for cancellations made at least 60 days before check-in. 25% refund for cancellation made between 30 and 60 days prior to check-in. No refunds for cancellations made within 30 days of check-in.
