As Halifax’s oldest vegetarian restaurant, Heartwood by the Sea offers a mostly organic & locally sourced menu (many gluten-free dishes on request) made in house with fresh and quality ingredients. We bake our own bread, grow our own sprouts and generally rock a green vibe. 

Our Heartwood bowls, sandwiches, pizzas, bean burritos and veggie burgers are all classic dishes that will have you coming back for more. We can usually accommodate most dietary requirements.
