Overview

Experience Cape Breton from the water! Join Captain Greg for a unique sailing adventure on Canada’s largest inland sea, the Bras d’Or Lake, up-close to the natural wonders at sea and along the shore.

Explore the Bras d’Or Lake Biosphere

You’ll board at our private dock adjacent to the St. Peter’s Canal National Historic Site. Here, North America’s oldest operating tidal lock connects the Atlantic Ocean with the iconic Bras d’Or Lake, one of Canada’s amazing UNESCO Biospheres. Learn about the 10,000 year history of this important transportation hub that served the Mi’kmaq and their ancestors as a portage and meeting place. Sail the local waters like our early European explorers and settlers.

Brush up on your old sailing skills or take a beginner’s lesson as we head out on island studded St. Peter’s inlet to the lake. No Rush II is a 35’ blue-water cruising yacht that is safe, comfortable, and a joy for veteran or newbie sailors to command. Anchor in a quiet cove for lunch and a swim. Then back to the sea for some more fun in the wind and waves.

Sailing is the ‘perfect green maritime adventure experience’ – lots of fresh air, close encounters with marine and bird life, pristine waters and shorelines; hear stories and music from our local cultures.

Our open dates for 2025 are June 14 through October 6 for all offers except the Sunset tours, which are available June 14 through August 5, except for Thursday evenings.

Tours are offered 7 days a week. Catering available and overnight stays can also be arranged.
