Black Harbour Distillers (BHD) was established in 2018, by founder Jaime Landry, as a 1st year Dalhousie University Commerce student. She wanted to pursue her dreams and created a company that closely worked with the community and offered locally crafted blended spirits. Today BHD has been established as a local distillery known for creating unique and quality products. Including our Lobster Vodka, Moon Mist Vodka or our 902 Rum.
When visiting BHD you will be welcomed to a warm environment located on the South Shore of NS. BHD is located inside a 100 year old school building that has been transformed to be the home of quality spirits, lively entertainment, and specialty cocktails using our local spirits!
When visiting BHD you will be greeted my friendly staff who are eager to share the story of BHD and provide samples of our locally made products.
On-site you will find our hospitality room for sampling, serving and selling retail. We host live matinees very Saturday and have a great size area to enjoy a cocktail or two with our local vodka, rum and gin!
On-site you will also find our production facility, where we produce all of our products. Feeling hungry? We have the Savary Pit onsite (they have limited hours in the off season)
Our property is wheelchair accessible, welcoming to all, dog friendly and family friendly (with an ice cream shop onsite during the summer season!)
