Join Terroir & Wild Ecotours for an adventure into the wild to explore the world of mushrooms, medicinal plants, trees, sea vegetables and seaweeds. Connect in nature with guided forest bathing and meditation, then indulge in a six-course, seasonal gourmet lunch at the beach, prepared right before your eyes by a local chef!
Package Includes:
- Enjoy a guided eco-tour and foraging experience with Terroir & Wild Ecotours: Get to know your guide, Jolanta, an experience forager and herbalist with a wealth of knowledge to share on a three-hour tour in pristine forests and stunning beaches near Halifax.
- Discover the hidden treasures of the wild as you learn to identify a variety of edible plants, mushrooms, coastal vegetables, and seaweeds. Learn the benefits of, and how to incorporate wild foods into your life.
- Connect with nature during guided forest bathing and meditation to immerse your senses and promote relaxation and well-being. Feel the moss beneath your feet, hear the birdsongs, and take a deep breath to find calm, comfort, and mental clarity.
- Savour a delicious six-course, seasonal gourmet lunch on the beach, while Chefs share stories about each dish: Terroir & Wild Ecotours works with three local and very talented chefs. Menus vary depending on what ingredients are in season, locally, and often feature a mix of vegetarian dishes, local meats and fish.

Price: $180 per person (10 and older), including HST. Children under five can join the experience at no cost. Children between 5 and 10 can join the experience with a 50% reduced experience price.

Good to Know:
- This full experience is approximately four hours in length and is suitable for children of any age if accompanied by an adult.
- The exact tour meeting point, parking, and washroom information will be provided to you at time of booking as the tour location in Halifax changes depending on the season.
- Please advise of any allergies at time of booking. Gluten free and diary free can be accommodated, but fully vegan menus are not available at this time. Snacks and drinks are also provided halfway through the tour during a break.
- Your guide Jolanta is a qualified Herbalist, Forager, Yoga Teacher and Yoga Therapist.
- Wear comfortable shoes for walking and dress according to the weather.
- Please bring a small basket and/or paper bag to put herbs and mushrooms in, as well as scissors or a small knife. A bottle of water, bug repellant, wet wipes, sunscreen, sunglasses, or a hat may also be useful.
